Welcome to Casa Santo Stefano!

As the proud new owners, we follow in the footsteps of our predecessors, Angeli and Christian, who have shaped and lovingly managed this house for 28 years, with respect and great gratitude. The Casa is a place of hospitality, inspiration and mindfulness with a rich history. Together, we are continuing this tradition and carefully developing it further. Our aim is to preserve the values and charm that characterise Casa Santo Stefano, while at the same time providing new impetus for further development. We look forward to shaping another stage of this special journey together with you.

Let us introduce ourselves:

I'm Cristina, an Engadine native with 25 years of experience as a florist, 13 of them in the hotel industry. I used to be the head of the decoration team and a floral artist in a renowned Zurich hotel. In my free time, you can often find me in my home studio, where I immerse myself in the world of ceramics. A place where my love of organic shapes and the elements of nature are reflected in my work. A conscious and sustainable lifestyle characterises my everyday life. I particularly appreciate the beautiful things in life, and if you ask me what my favourite colour is, the answer is: colourful.

I, Matteo, originally come from Valposchiavo and approach life with an open mind and a sense of humour. My professional years in prestigious hotels and restaurants have deepened my passion for good food. For me, food is more than just nourishment - it is a way of sharing joy and creating community. For many years I have followed the path of yoga in my private life, a journey that influences my daily life in a meaningful way and forms an inspiring basis for the direction of Casa Santo Stefano.

Together, we emphasise quality, individuality and aesthetics. Our focus is not only on the ambience, but also on the personalised service that goes beyond your stay. Table culture plays an important role in our lives, and our love of sustainable food is combined with the joy of entertaining, enjoying, experiencing and learning together. In our design, we like to combine things that tell stories with modern elements.

Our vision for Casa Santo Stefano is to work with the team to create a place of tranquillity, encounters and inspiration. Here our guests can escape from everyday life, find their inner balance and experience the wild nature of the Malcantone. Our bed & breakfast and seminar centre enables personal moments and offers a variety of themed retreats for anyone who wants to develop holistically.
